Volunteer Opportunities
Historic preservation is an important component of the City of Lead. Many structures remain from the halcyon days the Homestake Mine, demonstrating architectural, civic, residential and religious history. In the community of Lead, the Lead Historic Preservation Commission, the Black Hills Mining Museum, the Hearst Library and the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center all participate in historic preservation and all encourage anyone interested to volunteer.
